Covid 19: An Extraordinary Time

RRP £13.00

A response by writers to the Covid19 pandemic in 2020, this collection is of work by writers we have published before and whom we trust, and their trusted colleagues. When disasters strike writers respond and react in words. They share with us their hopes and fears. They describe and rationalise. This volume contains pieces of fiction, flash fiction, script, poetry, memoir and some texts which cannot easily be categorised.

As life slowly returns to normal, it is time to reflect on what we have all endured. Those of us who are still here will be grateful for those wonderful medics and scientists who pulled out all the stops. But what of the future? There will be a time when nobody will remember because they weren't born. How will they comprehend the sadness, the humour, the confusion and the mixed messages? Get your hands on one copy or more to give to our children, grandchildren and so on. Never let us ever forget this Extraordinary Time.

A valuable historical snapshot of the first few months of the Pandemic. Seventy-six pieces, mostly very short but some longer, some short stories, some flash, some poetry and others where the author just described how he/she was feeling and what he/she was experiencing during March, April, May and June 2020. Of course, we have now moved on and see things differently, but we need to keep remembering how it was back then.
